有句拉丁俗諺說「Ab ovo usque ad mala」=「從雞蛋到蘋果」這是什麼意思呢?🤔
「From the egg to the apple」原來是指「all the way」或者是「from beginning to end/from first to last」，也就是「從頭到尾，自始至終」或「一應俱全」意思。因為在古羅馬人的餐桌上，雞蛋常常是第一道菜，餐後的甜點是蘋果。後來，from the egg to the apple就引申為從始至終的意思。
